Across Australia, thousands of people go to work under the sun every day. Yet ultraviolet radiation is a known carcinogen that is classified alongside asbestos and tobacco. Outdoor workers can receive up to ten times more UV exposure than indoor workers, putting them at significantly higher risk of skin cancer. That’s why EML has partnered with the Cancer Council NSW to launch the SunSmart Workplace Toolkit, practical tools to help workplaces treat sun exposure like the serious hazard it is.
