Robert Wentzel

Robert Wentzel is dedicated to understanding human behaviour and driving cultural change for optimal performance and reduced harm. As CEO and Managing Director of The Jonah Group, he partners with organisations to design sustainable and impactful strategies.

With a background in Mechanical Engineering and Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Robert started his career in construction in Holland. A serious fire incident in 1999, where he and his wife Nada suffered burns, shifted his focus to human performance and psychological safety. He has more than 30 years’ experience in safety culture, safety leadership and human error reduction programs.

Since founding The Jonah Group in 2003, Robert has worked with global organisations such as Esso, Halliburton, Schlumberger, and BP. Known for his practical approach, he has helped companies establish high-performing safety cultures and improve productivity. His Limbic Safety™ Program uses psychology and neuroscience to achieve sustainable cultural shifts.

Robert enjoys family time, diving, and cheese-making. He lives in Byron Bay, NSW, Australia, and dreams of owning a goat to make his own cheese while enjoying a full-bodied Rioja.
