Lara is an accomplished work health and safety professional with more than 28 years of experience and a distinguished 23‑year tenure with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ). As Manager, Strategy and Governance within WHSQ, Lara leads multidisciplinary strategic initiatives that shape organisational direction, strengthen governance, and enhance the effectiveness of WHS programs across Queensland.

Lara holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Health and Safety) and a Graduate Certificate in Business (Public Sector Management), complemented by ongoing professional development spanning governance, communication, change management, project management, and leadership.
