Corporate HSEQ Advisor / Liberty Industrial & NSW Women in Safety Ambassador
Jo-Anne McDonald Singh

Jo-Anne McDonald-Singh is the Wellbeing Manager and Corporate HSEQ Advisor at Liberty Industrial, where she leads one of Australia’s most progressive workplace wellbeing programs in the heavy industrial sector. With a strong understanding of psychosocial risk and the challenges of remote and FIFO work, Jo-Anne has redefined what safety and support look like on the ground, especially in male-dominated, high-pressure environments.

In response to new psychosocial regulations, Jo-Anne developed and rolled out Liberty Industrial’s holistic wellbeing framework, built around seven pillars of health. Through regular site visits, inclusive monthly activities, and tailored strategies that break down communication barriers, Jo-Anne has created a culture where tough conversations are welcomed, and support is normalised.

She has also worked closely with leadership to overcome resistance and educate teams on the long-term benefits of proactive wellbeing initiatives. The results speak volumes: significantly reduced safety incidents, higher engagement, and a measurable shift in culture toward openness and connection.

Jo-Anne brings a grounded, practical approach to wellbeing and leadership, with a focus on human connection and long-term impact. Her session will explore how women in safety can assert their boundaries, lead with empathy, and influence change without sacrificing their credibility or well-being.
