Dr. Carol Hon

Carol is an Associate Professor at the School of Architecture and Built Environment, Faculty of Engineering, Queensland University of Technology. Before joining the academia, she practiced in the quantity surveying profession. She has diversified research experience in construction management. Her research interests include:

  • construction safety and health
  • mental health
  • future of work
  • human robot teaming
  • building information modelling education
  • gender diversity
  • construction industry development
  • professional ethics

She was awarded the Australian Research Council Discovery for Early Career in 2019. In 2020, she has taken up the Safety Theme Coordinator role of Building 4.0 CRC.  She is the co-lead of the Construction and Architectural Robotics  Lab (CARL)  of the Faculty of Engineering.
