
Adrian Connolly is a seasoned HSSE professional with nearly 30 years of experience at bp, where he has led safety and operational risk initiatives across refining, logistics, terminals, retail, marine, and emerging energy sectors. A Certified Generalist Safety Professional (COHSProf) and NEBOSH-certified Incident Investigator, Adrian is recognised for translating complex safety systems into practical, field-ready solutions and for his leadership in Human and Organisational Performance (HOP). He has spearheaded high-impact programs such as bp’s Control of Work and Contractor Management systems across ANZ, supported over $1 billion in projects, and contributed to industry-wide safety improvements through roles with the Work Place Clearance Group and the Downstream Petroleum Industry WHS Forum. Adrian’s work has earned multiple accolades, including two bp Helios Awards finalist recognitions and the bp Downstream Believe in Zero Award.
