Creating Environments that Support Good Mental Health, Safety and Wellbeing in Mostly Male Workplaces
Wednesday 25 March
11:00 am - 11:30 pm
Psychosocial Safety & Wellbeing Summit

Across Australia, blue-collar men make up nearly a third of the workforce yet face higher risks of suicide, alcohol misuse, and workplace accidents. They are also less likely to seek support due to stigma and services not designed with their realities in mind. Meeting these challenges is both a moral responsibility and a psychosocial and psychological safety obligation for employers. In this session, Rae Bonney will explore the social and environmental factors shaping men’s health and share practical strategies to build workplaces where men feel supported to adopt healthier behaviours. The impact extends beyond individuals — healthier men mean stronger families, safer communities, and better outcomes for all.
