In Australia, an average of 10 accidental contacts occur with power lines every day. Unfortunately, each year, seven people are electrocuted and approximately 50 people are severely burned and injured. 90% of electrocutions in Australia and New Zealand are from accidental contacts with power lines by workers. All these accidents are avoidable and mainly occur due to a lack of planning and lack of awareness of the hazard. In this session, entertaining and internationally acclaimed, multi–award winning power line safety speaker, Glen ‘Cookie’ Cook, will change your perception on power line safety.
