Driving Success Through Engagement: Persona Health Wins 15k Marketing Package

The Workplace Health & Safety Show Sydney celebrates innovation, leadership, and collaboration, not just on the show floor, but in how exhibitors connect with the wider safety community.

Each year, exhibitors who go the extra mile to promote their presence help elevate the entire event experience. From building anticipation online to driving more engaged visitors through the doors, their efforts make a measurable impact on attendance and engagement.

This year, Persona Health stood out for its exceptional campaign, combining strong digital promotion with genuine on-site connection. Their proactive approach brought in new audiences, sparked meaningful conversations, and ultimately earned them the $15,000 WHS Marketing Package, awarded to the exhibitor who drove the most registrations and engagement through Sydney’s event pre-show promotion.

We spoke with Ian Nicholson, Business Support Manager from Persona Health about his and his team experience, their standout campaign, and the power of participation.

For those who may not know Persona Health, can you tell us a bit about your brand and the services you offer?

Ian: “Persona Health is a leading occupational health provider supporting businesses across NSW, VIC and beyond. We deliver everything from pre-employment and periodic medicals to drug and alcohol testing, injury management, health surveillance (asbestos, crystalline silica, lead, heavy metals), audiometry, spirometry, and telehealth consultations.

Our focus is helping employers keep their people healthy, safe, and work-ready, with a commitment to fast turnaround times, clinical quality, and an exceptional client experience.”

What inspired you to exhibit at the Workplace Health & Safety Show this year?

Ian: “We saw the WHS Show as the perfect opportunity to showcase InjuryQR, our new workplace injury triage platform. It’s designed to simplify the first-aid response process, connecting injured workers to telehealth or emergency care in just a few taps. Exhibiting allowed us to demonstrate how technology can genuinely improve safety outcomes and streamline injury management.”

How did you find the experience, from meeting visitors to connecting with other exhibitors and speakers?

Ian: “It was a fantastic experience. The energy was high, the conversations meaningful, and there was a real sense of shared purpose among everyone there. We connected with safety leaders, HR professionals, and other health providers who were all genuinely interested in practical innovation.”

What kind of feedback did you receive from attendees?

Ian: “The response to InjuryQR was overwhelmingly positive. Many visitors told us it was the first time they’d seen a tool that could bridge the gap between first aid and medical care so quickly. They appreciated that it’s free to use and helps ensure injured workers receive the right care, fast.”

How did you promote your involvement in the show before and during the event?

Ian: “We ran a focused LinkedIn campaign featuring short demos of InjuryQR in action, emailed our existing client base, and included the event on our website. During the show, we used QR codes, live demonstrations, and giveaways to draw people in and encourage them to try the platform for themselves.”

Which marketing channels or tactics worked best to attract people to your stand?

Ian:“Without doubt, the live InjuryQR demos. Once people saw how it worked, scanning a QR code to instantly triage an injury, they wanted to know more. The simplicity of it drew a crowd, and word spread quickly around the floor. LinkedIn also played a big role in getting visitors to seek us out.”

What benefits has Persona Health gained from exhibiting, whether it’s new leads, partnerships, or increased visibility?

Ian: “We’ve already seen a significant increase in new business enquiries, including interest from national organisations and safety consultancies. The event helped raise our profile as both a trusted occupational health provider and an innovator in the injury management space. We also made some great new connections for future partnerships.”

How did it feel to win the $15,000 marketing package?

Ian: “Honestly, we were thrilled! It was such a great surprise and a huge vote of confidence in the work we’re doing. Our whole team was buzzing when we found out, it made all the preparation and long hours totally worth it.”

How do you plan to use this prize to grow your brand or reach more safety professionals?

Ian: “We plan to use the marketing package to exhibit in Melbourne and Sydney next year. We’re just opening two new clinics in Melbourne, and want to expand awareness of InjuryQR and our broader occupational health services. Our goal is to reach more businesses that want simple, effective tools to protect their workforce, and to show that health tech doesn’t have to be complicated to make a real impact.”

Why do you think events like the Workplace Health & Safety Show are important for the industry?

Ian: “They bring together the entire safety ecosystem, from frontline workers to industry leaders and create a space for collaboration, innovation, and learning. It’s one of the few events where you can have genuine, face-to-face conversations about improving workplace health outcomes.”

What advice would you give to other companies thinking about exhibiting next year?

Ian: “Go all in! Plan ahead, promote your presence early, and make your stand interactive. People remember experiences, not brochures. If you can demonstrate your value in a hands-on way, you’ll attract the right audience and make lasting connections.”

Celebrating the Power of Participation

Persona Health’s success is proof that when exhibitors actively promote their presence, the impact extends far beyond the show floor. Their proactive approach not only earned them the top prize but also demonstrated how strong engagement drives visibility, quality conversations, and tangible business results.

The $15,000 Marketing Package is recognition for exhibitors who bring the event to life and inspire others to do the same.

Congratulations once again to the Persona Health team for their outstanding efforts and commitment to collaboration.
