Jimmy has over 35 years international experience across a range of sectors including finance, resources, power and manufacturing. He has a strong passion for people development that spans across four continents and many cultures. After spending 17 years in Finance where he gradually transitioned from frontline banking to Learning & Development, Jimmy emigrated from his native Scotland to Australia in 2003 in search of a warmer climate. He continued to evolve his own facilitation and coaching skills in finance before taking on a global people role in mining. It was in that role over 6 years that Jimmy realised he could make a real difference in safety and wellbeing before joining The Jonah Group in 2014. When he is not travelling, Jimmy enjoys spending time at home in Tweed Heads (on the NSW/QLD border) with his wife and 2 children, cooking exotic curries, watching sport, and running a local snooker club. On most weekends, Jimmy and his son (who is an U18 Australian National Champion) can be found organising and competing in snooker and billiards events. With a confusing mixture of pain and pride, Jimmy admits that his son is now better than him.
