Despite organisations developing policies and controls around Psychosocial Safety and informing managers about sensitive issues, there remains a significant gap in equipping managers with the necessary skills to navigate these conversations effectively. The common belief that managers must solve these issues is counter-intuitive, and can further compound the problem and put psychosocial safety at risk. This session will delve into how managers and team leaders can engage in difficult and sensitive conversations with empathy and without causing offense, accompanied by real-life examples illustrating both successful and unsuccessful approaches.
