Dom Weir has extensive experience in working at height, including roles as a dogman, rigger and demolition supervisor (unrestricted). He was one of just three people to install the original Sydney Harbour Bridge climb fall arrest systems.

Dom founded Coresafe in 2002 and has been a WHS professional for 22 years, currently serving as the Bradfield City Centre Site Director with the Bradfield Development Authority.

Additionally, Dom has significant experience as a workplace trainer and assessor. He developed and ran a customised, nationally accredited height safety training program for Sydney Harbour Bridge workers for three years. Dom has also lectured at the University of NSW and created training programs, guidance papers, and SafeWork NSW funded WHS videos focused on safety and wellbeing in the outdoor advertising industry.

Dom has conducted extensive safe work at heights audits across Australia. His auditing experience has not only reinforced workers' safety but has also actively emphasized adherence to industry standards, reflecting his commitment to both safety compliance and worker protection.

Dom's active engagement with the Australian Institute of Health and Safety (AIHS) demonstrates his dedication to workplace health and safety (WHS). His contributions include serving as a Member of the College of Fellows, a Fellow and Chartered Professional, and recently joining the AIHS Certification Governance Committee, reflecting his collaborative approach to shaping WHS standards in Australia.

Dom has worked to champion proactive safety habits and cultivate a collaborative culture of health and safety throughout his career. His dedication to empowering workers through rights, education, and safe practices make him a valued voice in conversations around collaboration and cultural change.
